WorldWalk - Backpacking around the Earth?
Backpacking around the world on foot in six years. This means 25.000 miles (40.000 km) on five continents: Europe, Africa, the Americas, Australia and Asia. Two brothers—Ferenc and István Ivanics—walk 15-25 miles a day to reach their goal: to arrive home. To arrive home after going around our planet Earth, to arrive home after meeting many different people in many countries. People who live in different cultures, in different environments. People who have one very important common wish: peace. Peace, that is the final goal of the WorldWalk project. And the key is friendship and brotherhood, this is the message they'd like to share, try to tell everybody, every person living on our mother Earth. This is a more or less no budget adventure, the brothers are looking for temporary jobs or the support of the community, this is like a hobo trip. Two brothers István and Ferenc Ivanics. They are not only brothers but best friends of each other. This friendship is essential. Without friendship, without trust, without patience they cannot cope with the challenges of the WorldWalk Tour. This friendship, this co-working—co-walking and co-living—is an essential part of their message as well: peace will not come without the brotherhodd and friendship of co-living communities. No Peace without Communities
World peace can be preserved only if all of us try very hard to preserve it. It's not a lonely fight—fight for freedom?! But it's our common task, we have to work together. That's why communities are the second most important ingredients of the WorldWalk project. That's why the Ivanics brothers walk around the earth: to give the message of peace, to give the recipe: brotherhood, friendship and community. The World as the Walking Brothers See It
A walking tour around the Earth shows you many-many interesting—sometimes beautiful, sometimes terrifying—places, landscapes or people. A walking tour around the Earth gives you a special sense, a special view of our world. Due to digital photography the brothers are able to share their experiences, their impressions.
